Spring into Green Interiors

Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety. Green has great healing power. It is the most restful color for the human eye; it can improve vision. Green suggests stability and endurance. In heraldry, green indicates growth and hope.

Adding a touch of green in your home can add some new life to your space, it is fresh and clean. Here are a few ways I've incorporated it in my work.

This contemporary bachelor living space was created with neutral tones of brown and gray, but a splash of green at the counter adds just enough visual interest and brakes up this one room living space.

A hand painted green back drop of hills surrounds this little girl’s room with flowers placed in special areas, with a soft warm pink sky.

Boston sports was the theme for this 8 yr-old boy's room.  Celtics & Red Sox are his favorite teams.  Green monster Benjamin Moore paint surrounds the bottom wall and dark green chalkboard paint frames the Celtics basketball area (where a net will be added).  It creates a great place for friends to come over, shoot some hoops and keep score right on the wall! Across the room is a hand painted replica of the official Green Monster Red Sox Scoreboard at Fenway Park.
Personalized with the twin’s names, this storage bin accented with green grass and clovers, is the perfect accent for the girls’ room for favorite books or special toys.
