Homemade Pink Lemonade using Beet Juice ice cubes


 
This recipe makes the perfect lemonade. No need for mixes anymore. 

In a pan heat 1 1/2 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water, until sugar is dissolved, slightly to a boil.

Take off heat & cool. Then refrigerate for at least an hour.

Add this liquid sugar to 7 cups of water & 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice.

I used my juicer for the lemon juice, about 7 lemons peeled.





For the ice cubes, I juiced 1 med beet and diluted with water, about 2 cups. I was able to make 4 trays of cubes. If you don't have a juicer, you can cook a beet peeled in a pot of water, the water will turn red/pink. If the color is very dark, you can dilute with more water.
