Dale Chihuly at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

I went the other day to the MFA and saw this amazing exhibit, if you can go see it.
Chihuly is a hand blown glass artist, with his team, he creates sculptures of all shapes and sizes.  With 4 decades of work, he is included in more than 200 hundred museum collections worldwide.
He is well know for his series of works, and has had exihibits at the Louve, Paris, Victoria & Albert Museum, London and installed glass sculptures over the canals and piazzas of Venice. His work is at the MFA through August 7, 2011.






Window Seats

I decided to get rid of the big, deep seated couch in my living room, it took up too much space (and wasn't in great shape) and will be replacing it with a built-in window seat. This will open up the room, allow for extra storage underneath and be used much more by the kids to have a place to read.  While the seat will be built by a carpenter, store bought bookshelves at either end of the window will create a custom look.  I will post when the project's complete.
